does anyone else ever revisit their old work, and ideas, and worldbuilding, and get the panicked feeling that they passed their prime and will never write this well again? asking for a friend haha

#not me spiralling after finding an old notebook detailing a wip i worked on at the time #in such detail and just.... so well done #and i have to wonder.... where did that go?#that spark of... maybe not brilliance but just intense inspiration #its been maybe 2 or 3 years since ive had an idea i was so taken with that it was all i could think about #and i blamed it on being busy but i haven't been busy in months and i just feel..... like i lost something #i want to write so badly and sometimes i even do but nothing feels right and properly exciting #and like.... maybe i peaked. maybe what i did a few years ago was the best i could ever do #i know its irrational to think this way #and not very constructive and helpful #but ive had a bit of a bad time lately and just needed to shout into the void for a moment #at least that i can do #mina mumbles

watching bridgerton and obviously there were a lot of things wrong with the way socializing has worked in the past, but honestly the idea of a "calling hour" is so appealing. office hours for friendship. you can show up unannounced at my home between 1 and 3pm. you must leave by 3pm. I may give you a pastry. lets bring that back

it is legit bizarre to me how hard video game creators and film directors and showrunners try to pretend that fat people don't exist. can you think of the last time you saw a fat person in a lead role? god forbid a fat woman? i can walk down the street or go into a shop or restaurant and see fat people everywhere but then i switch on the tv and suddenly it's like a glimpse into an alternate universe where no one has a bmi over 24. insidious and weird

oh. I think my fears about Chiefcake passing from old age were more on point than I realized. she's acting very weak right now.

and it's late on a friday, when all the rabbit-specific vets have closed. I'll call around anyway to see if at home euthanasia is an option tonight.

#I didn't expect it to be this soon #she's been sleeping more and urinating outside of the litter box #so I was planning on getting her on arthritis meds to see if those helped her move around better #but tonight......I know how animals act when they're dying.#something has gone wrong inside her #god these things always happen at night when the vets have closed 💀#all I can do is stay with her and try to make her as comfortable as possible #this sucks #at least she still feels good enough to eat the apple slice I'm offering and tooth-purr while being stroked

downloading my fics

printing my fics

copy/pasting or screenshotting my fics

sharing your saved copy of my fics with anyone else who might want them in the unlikely but never impossible case that my fics are no longer available on ao3

making a book of my fic(s) and running your fingers across the pages while lovingly whispering my precioussss

doing these things with anything I create for fandom, such as meta, headcanons, au nonsense like 'texts from the brodinsons,' etc

I am not fine with "the audience"

doing any of the above with the purpose/intent of plagiarizing my work or passing it off as their own in any capacity

feeding my work into ai for any reason whatsoever

Save the fandom things. Preserve the fandom things. Respect the fandom things.
